Charli XCX Portrays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film First Look
The celebrated musician is gearing up for a major cinematic onslaught in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, the artist plays what she calls as a hell version of her own persona.
It’s the truest representation of the music business that I’ve ever seen, the performer remarked.
She clarified in a conversation: This isn’t a concert film, but the idea originated from the demand to make one.
A Glimpse into The Moment
The debut trailer, released on this week, combines authentic footage from her live performances with made-up off-stage interactions.
The mockumentary is directed and co-written by Aidan Zamiri, who revealed that the story revolves around a reality where the singer made entirely different choices during the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

The mockumentary is just one of many forthcoming film appearances for Charli, who recently appeared in three cinematic festival entries recently.

Future Ventures
The following year will also feature the star with Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in art world thriller The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in scary reboot Faces of Death.
She recently signed on to feature in the actress’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.
I am really enjoying my foray into acting, Charli stated. I’m highly enthusiastic at the moment in acting, and I solely choose to take on roles that stimulate me.
Soundtrack Involvement
The month of February will also see the launch of the director’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from the artist.
She will also provide music for the film Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch next year.
The film is scheduled to debut on the 30th of January.
